All volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters must be trained by a professional staff member. Volunteers learn more about what it's like to be a Big, their role as a mentor, potential pitfalls and ways to communicate with their mentee.
Initial training gives mentors a solid foundation to build on, time to interact with and ask questions of a staff member, as well as meet other new mentors.
New Mentor Training will be held on an as-needed basis, normally once a month.
