If you live anywhere in Planning District 16, we probably have a child waiting for you. We have boys in Ruther Glen and King George, as well as Massaponax, out Route 3 in Spotsylvania, North & South Stafford and Fredericksburg. We need all races and ethnicities, ages 18 and older!
We have very few girls waiting, but are always looking for more African American women.
Don't be overwhelmed by how many children are waiting - we only need you to help one child. Spend one to two hours a week, talking, playing sports, spending time together, doing no-cost/low cost activities.
During the school year, October - May, we have school programs at Rocky Run and Hartwood Elementary in Stafford County, Lafayette Upper Elementary, Hugh Mercer Elementary and Walker Grant Middle School in the City of Fredericksburg, and Potomac Elementary in Dahlgren. Complete your application process over the summer and we'll match you in October for the school year! Must be 16 years or older to participate.
